POWERFUL!

"War is hell. The hellishness of war is multiplied when the innocent die. It is even worse, when having no legitimate military target, the innocent are targeted for the purposes of revenge or terror. What a wonderful world we would have if everyone truly desired peace. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Peace is never one sided. You cannot have peace with those who desire your death."

Here's the break down Lori-- there are several type people in this world, the conformist, the non-conformist, pacifist, the inbetween, and the extremist, etc. The extremist is the worst kind, they're the one's that will attach bombs to themselves, then blow up innocent people to get what they want. The inbetween has to really be pushed on a personal level before going this far but he is on the border line. The pacifist are the ones you see out protesting the war, they hate violence of all type. Some of them won't even defend themselves.
It becomes real bad when a non conformist is an extremist. Usually a conformist is either an inbetween or a pacifist. The non conformist extremist is the worst because they are the type people who are never happy, they will find something to complain about so as to go on the war path. They're not even happy themselves. Messed up world we have here sometimes. Take care . Love and peace. G

This is breathtaking in its intensity, Lori. Its strength in words - which express both image and emotion - pack a powerful punch, impressive in its succinctness. This write fully demonstrates the capacity we have as humans to be driven by either of the strongest forces known to us: love or hatred - both of which we are prepared to kill or die for. "Spreading lies like the legs of a whore" is an astonishingly memorable line! A passionate write - very well done indeed. Thank you KB

"Remembering Madrid" is a strong socio-political Voice, with contents and emotions mingling for a true poemization.

I did enjoy the artistic and the contents of this poem.

As long as injustice makes money for the Plutocratic Lords there shall be no Peace on Earth. JUSTICE IS THE WAY. And when through Justice, we claim our true rights, we will know that we have to respect our neighbors.
