Wow, great piece. Some might feel they are but at that final moment the truth shows. Saddam Insane Hussein was a good example of this, he couldn't shoot it out like his sons did, neither could he kill himself. love and peace G

Lori...this is so powerful...
when one is trapped and doesnt
know where to turn...sometimes
they think death is the answer..
Of course deep trauma can make
death seem appealing....an escape..
but there are other ways to cope...
it takes Bravery...something that
you have...loved this sad piece...

It is great that you are able to write about your pain with such depth. Hopefully the writing will be good theraphy for you.
I would like to tell you a little something. Always remember that there is always a reason to look forward to the future. You just have to find it. From someone who is old enough to be your momma, I am a two cancer survivor, and I thank God for that. I am free. When one has serious health issues, finding a reason and faith to stay alive is important.
There are so many people that don't have a choice about when it is their time. Apparently you do, since you didn't succeed. That should show you that you have a purpose. Take advantage of it and live life to the fullest.
I have my purpose. You will find yours. Your angels will guide you.
You have a lot to offer the world- know that and go with it.
My prayers are with you.
Keep writing.

Lori, I am so sorry that you have cause to feel this way and that you know thoughts of death so well. I have a brother who has twice attempted suicide and each time was glad that he ultimately did not succeed. While there's life and breath, there's hope, Lori. Death can seem like a welcome black hole, but find your purpose in life and a reason to live and your spirit will live on through this life and the next - please don't seek to snuff it out! You've been created to be here and are loved and valued by those who don't even know you. And that's the truth, whether or not you are able to accept or believe it. I greatly admire your honesty; keep working through this and I'm sure the light will emerge at the end of the tunnel. Standing with you. KB
