My first impression was suicide by drowning in the pond. But death comes to many pond creatures as we remove them from the water to eat them.

The Pond is wonderful! Especially liked the first Haiku, but they all bring back many wonderful memories of my childhood days - at a delightful tiny Midwestern pond.
