Lori, I loved this poem, as a kid, I remember the rock salt and grandma making the thick yellow cream( I had to gather the eggs from the hen house) and (God am I old) the block of ice we got from the "Iceman's truck", all the makings of a family treat.

very very well done, Lori...I am not an ice cream fan, but this made me yearn for those youthful days, when ice cream was indeed a "frozen paradise"
