Awesome Lori~ this is flawless reality. This piece should be posted on Billboards across America and posted next to the magazine stands in bookstores and stands around the world. Perhaps the next time we reach down and pick up an airbrushed magazine, maybe, just maybe, we'll think twice, after digesting your compelling prose, and then, move on with living reality . . . life is not for sale, only dreams sometimes are. Excellent siftng of the innerspirit. A helpful nugget for us all.

Extremely powerful piece, Lori. Many of us dwell on 'air-brushed' dreams sold to us by someone else; while we should concentrate on our own heartfelt dreams and desires.
there is nothing wrong with a bit of fantasy from time to time but the commercialism in our society today is out of control...you touch on that very well in this poem...very well done, Lori.
Brilliant work, Lori... particularly like the twist in the last line...are her hopeless dreams of "perhaps, one day..." up for sale, or is it all the "dream-mags" she purchased from the stalls? I am sure that there are many of us who can relate, here! Thank you, Kate xx

I enjoyed the second stanza of this fine poem. This piece has just the right tone for the topic.
Really well written...it is gift to be able to write about a magazine, but then to contribute it to the life of the people that come into its cycle of being is a sheer poetry...your words are so prolific...really well captured...great imagery etc...Fletcher B

Perhaps "..Quiet Storm" will help rekindle old flames buried and long forgotten or express the love so deeply locked inside of your soul longing to be released.
