More nursery rhyme parody mixed with political satire...

Since these are short, I thought I'd post two.

Hark! Hark! The talking heads bark,
the liberals are coming to town.
In designer jeans,
and diamond rings,
and one hoping to wear a crown.

Hark! Hark! They tell a tale.
They say they feel our pain.
But all they want is a corner on power,
so their foolishness can reign.

****

John and John worked up the hill,
but never for the people’s will.
They taxed the worker,
and created the drone,
while they teased the unknowing
with a socialist bone.

This is fun stuff. I am on your side of the political fence all the way, and unlike some I love what you say. Take THAT katy. LOL

Katy,

You’re cheeky, grinny and open minded… I can always honor that. You are also very talented. So many, from both sides of the political spectrum, are only tolerant and open minded towards those who agree with their ideologies. I am open minded, have a concern for the well being my fellowman and am self dependent… I guess that’s why I am conservative. Return government to its constitutional limitations and get it off my back, out of my house and especially out of my purse. Thanks for the kind comment.

The poetry is great... the satire is clever... and I'll fight to the death for your right to say it. I'm cheeky, grinny and open-minded.. must be why I'm a Democrat! Carry on, Lori. I don't have to like what you say, but I sure love the way you say it! (grin) katy xox.

Just goes to show that not all Nursery Rhymes are for infants... although you might think we are all still back in the Nursery judging by the ways we adults behave and the values we espouse - as typified, sometimes, by those we put in power. What puzzles me is how these people get so far if they are so divorced from public opinion??!! As an English girl, it heartens me to see that you have as part of your culture and tradition our age-old infant rhymes!! Bobby Shaftoe lives on!! Kate xx

Often wondered, a country with 300, 000, 000. Can rarely find a half way decent leader.

Change that consitution and get old Arnie in.

"More Satire" message duly delivered in a graceful way.

When we learn our rights and follow the Constitution (USA), Johns, Bills and Bulls will not drop MANURE on the OVAL OFFICE, and the Congress will comply with the LAW.

Keep posting MORE of "More Satire".

You do great satire. Yes we hear all their lies, then when they get their power they don't remember saying that everyone will have health insurance, etc, etc, etc.......
Have a great day counselor.....
