This is astounding. Your use of the English language is remarkable. Green tea is good for her, but she is wasting it by using negative self talk.

I find this potent and poignant, Lori. It plays with the many ideas that "tea" conjures in the myriad of our life experiences, and seems to be so much "always there", like a good friend!! Sharing and losing yourself in the rising steam that remains though the liquid grows cold is such a powerful analogy of lost detachment. TY for this, it is so well crafted. Kate xx
