young hands
in the kitchen-
grandmother's patience

fresh baked bread
and pumpkin pie-
grandmother’s perfume

mist and memories-
sweet fragrances linger
in the garden

Beautifully crafted haiku, Lori, the first one is my favorite. Little hands and Grandma's patience brings thoughts of my husband's mother to mind, and the summer my girls stayed with her.
