Sweet. It's on the limit of what can be expressed, on the limit of what can be felt, as love always is. This is why love is hard to bear and its memory even harder. But it is always sweet.

Lori, far too many try to justify their unacceptable behavior, and unfortunately seek out to qualify other redefinitions of the way things should be, and it’s not for the betterment of mankind. Lori, this is one of your very best poems I have read. The title is fantastic and I love the format and rhyme. I can sense the aching of the memories echoing through the verses. I am keeping this in my library. Excellent writing!

I agree with Eileen. Poems like this are like a faucet that, once turned on, are not easily shut off. I used to run away with my own dark emotions a while back. Sometimes it was hard to come back. But sometimes they were like a warm heavy blanket.
