Bravo! So true, Lori. It is sad that we attempt to reduce everyone and everything to our own mean denominator sometimes, in order for us not to feel so bad about ourselves. Sure is a downward spiral though. Vision is what inspires hope - but my goodness how the visionaries get it in the neck sometimes before the rest of us have any idea of the light they can shed! "Bitterness will never set you free" - yeah, but some work on the basis of "Well, if I can't be free, why the hell should anyone else?!" Can see it so well in my own family. Sad but true. There is wisdom revealed in this write...2nd & 4th stanzas really amplify the truth in this piece...People need to take responsibility for their lives instead of making excuses or believing that they are entitled to be rewarded for someone elses hard work.

Lori, each stanza is a stand-alone poetic snapshot of the current theme that may one day be buried forever in a time capsule along with all the hate and discontent that continues to spread. Hopefully it all shall pass into oblivion very soon, and true world peace and harmony will prevail on this spinning blue dot, we call Earth. Thank you for posting your work.
