We have this in common, Lori...As you know, I also have this in my memory vault. The sparseness of your verses here speaks volumes to me, for we dole out these horrors in pieces, mindful not to repress them entirely. It is good and right to share them, as a warning, a reminder but more importantly, as a therapeutic means to get it out of our heads.

I tip my cap to your courage and call you "sister" in this arena of life.

Note: I'm glad you left Trask down there, to expose to readers the kind of ignorance and pain that some would inflict on others. He ought to be flogged!! katy xox.

Lori, it is never the victims fault. I wish you peace and the strength to let go of the nightmares. Always remind yourself that you are not at fault, you did not cause this in anyway, the rapist did. As for TRASK's callous remark, perhaps he speaks from experience, as a rapist? They always blame everyone, and never themselves, the one's who are truly guilty.

My heart breaks for your pain...and knowing all I can do is offer words to console and prayers to heal, I do both without end.
Now on the other hand...I have to say that some of these reviews are just so far out there that I can't even imagine...
You are a strong woman Lori...I like Edwin's advice...Hold your head up and keep walking...the likes of that coward should not hinder your life any longer.

I really hate guys who think women ask for it because of the way they look, walk, or dress. Lori, it's a testament to your courage that you have survived this and speak out against it. I hope whoever it was truly suffered for his crime.

Rape is never the fault of the victim, Lori. It is sad that women even need to worry about such crimes against them. Rape is a sickness and if I had my way, all rapists would be exterminated. This is a troubled and frightening post, Lori. Excellent work.

Well, it don't come no plainer than this, Lori. A good thing to articulate - so many victims feel that somehow, this kind of personal abuse is "their fault".
