rumble of thunder-
rolling from your lips
another lie
thunderclouds-
empty words
speaking promise
flying home-
my luggage
stays on vacation
skipping rocks
across the pond-
frowning fishermen
strawberries
one day to perfection-
patient crows

I have often wondered about Haiku, it sounds so painful, but with these five short verses I can relate.
Thank you Lori,

Great work!
This one is very open to interpretation and the reader can and does manage to draw several conclusions from it. Is your love ending because of the lying, are you taking your frustration out on the fishermen and are the patient crows a sign that there is still hope?
Hmmmnnnn interesting.

GAD these are awesome haiku! I love all of them, but had to chuckle at
"flying home-
my luggage
stays on vacation"
How true! How 'bout a role reversal? The luggage can fly home while I stay here! LOL
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :)
When I counting syllables I always get either one extra or ... me just plain stupid!!
Like on this one I get
thunderclouds- 4
empty words - 2
speaking promise -6
Am I stupid or am I STUPID??
