This is a very nice poem, it is like telling a story about some heartless politicians or the world leader who does not care about their subject......, pains, war, hunger. you know what i mean. keep it up

there's a big truth in this simple little rhyme

Its everybody's fault but our own...the age old cry
Charity begins at home...and we each must take our own share of personal responsibilty in shaping and creating the kind of world

You got that right! It's everybody's fault but ours. LOL. This is so true, Lori. We don't ever want to look at ourselves. We forget the old adage people with glass houses shouldn't throw stones. On the other hand, I'm probably so guilt-ridden because one of the sayings I was raised with was "Remember when you point a finger there are three pointing back at you." This is right on, sis. The hypocrite has no idea of whose fault it actually is anyway, but needs someone to blame, cause it is never the hypocrite's fault, and it is never anyone's fault, be the hypocrite still needs someone to blame. I have met a lot of hypocrite's in my life. "I am a Christian, but I hate anyone who is different." This hypocrisy needs to one day be a thing of the past. Another hypocritical saying would be, "I hate women, but I love how they cook and clean." Hypocrites always contradict themselves, and do exactly the opposite of what they say. It is such a shame, it really is. May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. Sadly this is very true, Lori. Taking responsibility for our actions and ourselves are things that many people don't feel obligated to do. It is much easier to point fingers than it is to change our own situation, so we blame others for our fate. Willfully accepting being a victim renders us powerless. It seems to me that the very people who are saying that we need to change the world are the ones who never get up off of their butts and take on the responsibility of making the changes or even presenting viable solutions.
