I remember the day my mother died so
young still in a moment she was gone forever
I cried so many tears for her or perhaps myself at
four years of age can we really comprehend altogether
or recall all we suppose, or are such memories somehow planted
deep through the pain of others and their expressions of loss and guilt
in not doing enough or anything at all to prevent such grief that others may
never know the pain of being alone in a crowd of familiar faces crying for their mother
In Memory of My Mother...

Lori I weep for you loss and my misplaced hatred for my Mother. I could not understand her Alcoholism. She died abandoned by me. Now too late the tears fall
and there is no way to accept forgiveness for what I did to her. I cry for and for me
for different reasons. God bless you and same me. P.S. And now too late I cry for Momma. Bill

to lose your mother at such a young age must have been so hard-but this is a lovely tribute.
My Mom & Dad are still living and I appreciate them a great deal. I have a great imagination but I cannot even come close to knowing what that feels like for you and others. I stop myself from trying to imagine it and dismiss it from my mind each time. It is strange how even pain has different colors just like love does.

Lori i feel for the little girl who had to experience this. it is never easy. but when it happens to a child it is harder. I remember the last words from my father before he died. I was a kid and was asking my mother if i could go fishing. He yelled from the bedroom. Let the bastard go and i hope he drowns. when i got home i found out he was rushed to the hospital and died.
it was my last memory of him.

I'm sorry for your loss. My mother and I don't always see eye to eye, but I can't imagine my life without her.
Lori, I cannot imagine how hard it would be but you have imparted some of that pain here. I'm sure that your mother would (or is) proud of you for how wonderful you have become.

Awwww, Hun. What a beautiful, moving tribute to your mother. (((HUGS))) to you...my mother died 12 years ago, I was 31. It was hard then...but so it must be more so for you, dear Lori. The last sentance brought me to tears..."...that others may never know the pain of being alone in a crowd of familiar faces crying for their mother." (((HUGS))) and much love, Karla.

Such a sad and touching work; a glimpse at your earliest memory is probably a glimpse at your tender soul as well...
