A rough english translation...

I speak of love for it is my dream
I speak of fear for it is my reality
I speak of rape for it is my experience
I speak of hope for everyone should have a fantasy
I speak of loss for it is all I have known
I speak of suicide
I think I speak too much

Another poem for my friend Nichole...

I speak of love because you're an absolute sweetheart, Lori, and you already know how I feel :). And don't let them mess with Kaci. She's a great girl, and I don't care if she is only twelve. She's smarter than any of these clowns. And it's about time that we recognized the younger voices here--they speak the truth. Love, Alex

Your poetry in any language is vivid and compelling ...always a good read...hate to see the "S" word mentioned though;-)
