It’s the ordinary that most esteem
Straight roads without the conflict of messianic obligation
Receive the highest praise
Like a thief on a cross preferred
Naked only in our self-awareness
We press on
It’s the mundane that most seem to see
The grays which they never admit exist
Are the rainbows which they crave
Like a teacher still searching a text
We press on
Never finding the crossroads
which betray the blindness of our hearts

Deep thoughts to ponder through. Excellent write. Lisa

Lori is it like searching with a blindfold over your eyes? Maybe if I lifted the blindfold could I find my way? What is more important to us knowing or believing? I kind of believe that ALL THINGS ARE ACHIEVED BY FAITH. Your poem is seaching and inquisitive and I sense a hurting. Try to feel the love of us at AD. Bill
