A visitor

a teacher

for requirement or wish?

Desiring to know me

or a checklist marked only?

minutes of time

in thirty increments

does not give way

to truth of words

like call me…

if you need something

the heart

in protection,

doesn’t share

with those who care

in allotted time

but rather,

reserves its load

for those who show

a broken clock

for sharing,

teaching,

listening,

visiting…

Loving

Interesting and unique way to put it with the clock allegory, Cryssa. I have another broken clock called aging where time seems to go by faster all of the time...but I'm afraid that's not as altruistic as your clock...Jerry

The end sums it all up. I was not sure what to think at first but I read it more than once and it seems. Great work.

Well said. I find that it is very easy to lose track of time when I am focused on another person and their needs. My own merely bore be, and time nearly stands still. Kind regards J'nia

Oooo, I hope this teacher gives heed to this wisdom. Looking back at school, those teachers I had who listened were the same ones I learned most from. I guess that should say something to me about how to parent.

(But Dani and I are sure enjoying dancing to these songs that Evan put together for us!) Does listening to music count? --Charlie
