What a wonderful gift God gave us when he led us to our mountain.

Our Mountain

I look forward to our mountain, when summer gets this near.
Knowing how much fun we’ll have just like we did last year.
The pleasure is contagious, with excitement all around,
No one ever wants to leave, this treasure we have found.

Our mountain is so beautiful, a picture God has made.
The stars at night so breathtaking, when light begins to fade.
He painted lots of trees, in front of mountain tops so high.
If only I could climb them, I think I’d touch the sky.

The colors of the wildflowers are magnificent indeed.
But then that’s not surprising, with God planting seeds.
There’s nothing like a thunderstorm, up on that mountain top.
The mountain shakes and rumbles, you think it will never stop.

Gigantic lightning bolts flash through the angry sky,
You can’t help seeing them, no matter how you try.
But when the storm is over and the sun comes shining through.
God sends us a giant rainbow across the entire sky so blue,

It always reminds us how powerful our God can be.
He can send the lightning bolts or he can craft a tree.
How can people not believe, when they see what God has done.
They would, if they could see our mountain, our storms and our sun.

Bonnie,
I have often wondered how people can see the sky, listen to a thunderstorm, smell a rose, see the trees and mountains so majestic and not believe in God. I love this poem because it reminds of all not to take God's creation for granted. AWESOME, Bonnie!

Blessings,
~Linda
