Oh how I again wanted to see a magnificent creature.

Poem Artwork

Lions and Tigers and Bears,
Oh My

Problem bears were released right on our land.
I must admit though, seeing one would be grand.
The excitement of seeing one close gives me chills.
Especially one right on our land in the hills.

Lions and tigers and bears oh my, I would chant.
I might try to run away and find that I can’t.
I would look like tree made of old petrified wood.
For my feet would be frozen in the spot where I stood.

But what if I had the courage to linger awhile?
To watch the bear play and make my heart smile.
Does that sound crazy, have I lost my brain?
Would I ever know, unless those bears came.

So I’d go for my walks each and everyday.
Hoping to spot a bear out where they lay.
The bears were seen there before I arrived.
So I knew they were there and very much alive.

Maybe it’s best that they hid from me.
For I know how crazy sometimes I can be.
Maybe next year one will show me its face.
And promptly and sternly, put me in my place.

Bonnie,

This is so cute. Makes you wonder exactly how much of nature you want to be near.

It would be tempting to me also, but please, make no mistake Bonnie, they are not pets, and if hungry you look like food to them;-) Take care! Love the poem!...ET

Lions, tigers & bears oh why...would you want to intermix with them, death wish? Maybe put out some food so you could know where it is and then you can get to see them, at least they would be preoccupied...ed
