I have no idea where the thought came from, but arrived in brain just the same.

Mom Would Be After Me!

Some bush is hurting my mommy she cries every single day.
What kind of a bush could do this, she just wouldn’t say?
I looked in our yard all over, but couldn’t find one that hurt me.
Maybe it’s somewhere else, & isn’t a bush at all, maybe it’s a tree.

While watching TV with mommy, this man appeared to speak.
Mommy started screaming & crying, and jumped right to her feet.
Mommy what’s wrong with you, I don’t understand why you cry.
All she said was, “It’s that bush I tell you, all that bush does is lie.”

How can a stupid bush possibly do that, they don’t say a thing.
Do we have a talking bush in our yard mommy, does it also sing?
“Oh my darling you don’t understand, that bush hurts us all, even me.”
Then I thought my mommy lost it, by throwing a shoe through our TV.

Where is this bush that hurt my mommy, what has she done to it?
If I find where it is hiding, I’ll pull it out and split it pretty quick.
I don’t understand adults; they get so mad at a little blameless tree.
I’m so glad I’m not that bush ‘cause my Mom would be after me.

Don't you all count on it, one bush is uprooted and another will be planted in the same hole.
Gimme a island in the middle of the Pacific ocean and forget TV news, newspaper and greedy old men with the hands dirty with oil, but for all means reruns of happy days when you said I am an American and they mauled you with love hugs.
Yes, an inhabited island seems the perfect place to get away from the Pinocchio crazies of Washington.

I just can not wait until Bush is out of office. He is the worst President in the history of this country.I call him President Push because all he does is push people around with his issues and policies and lies all the time. You know yesterday I watched him on CNN delivering his disappointment with not getting the bailout to pass and he looks drunk lol.I don't think a lullaby will put any child to sleep because all you have to do is listen to Bush and that will put you to sleep in an instant.I enjoy reading this poem.Take care
Love and hugs always
Edwin
