We've all done practical jokes and sometimes they backfire in a big way.

Undoubtedly Failed
 
I snuck up on her very quietly as quiet as I could be.
Hid silently behind the bedroom door so she could not see me.
And when she least expected it, I jumped and yelled, “Boo”.
That’s when the door slammed shut; it was a stupid thing to do.
 
I got a broken nose, black eye and stitches too for the trick I just pulled.
Sure she was also shocked and horrified, but it was me who got fooled.
I never expected what had occurred, and all the pain that it entailed.
This was only one of my brainless plans that undoubtedly sunk & failed.

Everyone loves a good joke in a while,but like you expressed in your poem sometimes a joke can backfire.People and children need to be careful.I enjoy reading this poem,take care

I guess brainless plans always fail. On the other hand,
I'd say that broken nose and black eye represent quite
a badge for the neighborhood gang to envy. -gene.

In school once we kind of borrowed a real skeleton from the bio class and put it in the locker of what we thought was the locker of a pesky teacher, as it was the locker belonged to a the music teacher, a lovely and very well liked zillon pounds heavy lady.
All the school heard the highest and longest high-C ever emited by a human being or any other being.
Mum was the word, until today.

OUCH. Poor little guy!! Hard not to laugh, especially when someone gets hurt as a result of joking or horsing around. Great write, Bonnie; well done!

Sadly all kids and a lot of us adults enjoy practical jokes and scaring people, sadly this one backfired
