Another true story which I'd love to deny...

Now Take Me Home!

Two days ago still sick and with a raging fever, I decided I needed ink.
I guess I could have waited a little longer but my brain was on the blink.
So my granddaughter drove me to Office Depot where I should have stayed in the car.
But no not me, I had to get out and caused a scene because I didn’t get too far.

As I was swingin around to exit, my foot caught in the strap of my purse.
There I laid all spread out in the parking lot like a deflated balloon that burst.
My granddaughter, Jordan was in total shock as she got out of her seat.
People came from all around trying to help this old lady to her feet.

“Gosh Grandma, I can’t take you anywhere without you scaring me out of my mind.”
“Well, sorry about that,” I said, “now take me home, my printer’s gonna be fine.”

I hope you didn't hurt yourself too bad. But I'm glad that I wasn't there because I would have laughed.

Sometimes people tumble and fall down. Its not how many times you fall down, its how many times you get back up.One of the qualities that I like about you that is expressed through your poetry is the fact that you can laugh at yourself in embarrassing situations like this.On a rare occassion,I would trip and fall down, but everybody does that lol.Take care of yourself and next time be careful.I don't want you to get hurt or seriously injured

I know us oldsters can fall easily. I took a tumble in the door to bingo the other month and I was so embarrassed. Didn't hurt myself, only my pride. My back did hurt for a day or so, but i was more embarrassed than anything. It all happens so quickly, you are just glad you don't break anything.

Well grandma or not we all have accidents and if we can smile and laugh at ourselves (if not in too much pain) then we can watch as the world smiles at us too.

LOL!...I know it sounds funny but it isn't. I'm glad you are well enough to share this with us.

I had the same experience. I once bought a nice glass pitcher in Canadian Tire, and carried it out to the parking lot, but soon as I stepped out of the store I slipped and fell, and the pitcher broke. Luckily, the broken glass didn't get me. So I went into Canadian Tire, told them what just happened, and they replaced me with another new one.

The accident could have been worse. We should each count our blessings.

God bless you, Bonnie - your printer could have waited...hope you didn't do much damage (other than to your pride).

(((HUGS))) love and prayer, Karla.

And if it had been ME that fell, Karen would have busted a gut laughing ...

You need to stay in and get better; no wonder you can't shake the stuff! Shame, Bonnie!! SERIOUSLY, though, this is a cute write; just be careful is all I have to say! Well done, TwinkleToes!! LOL

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
