I’m a Diva
I dance and sing and I’m the bell of the ball with men falling at my feet.
Being a Diva isn’t easy for I must look my best and that ain't cheap.
Every year I add more lipstick, stronger girdles, more makeup and expensive wigs.
And those Ole goats don’t appreciate me really; they’re all a bunch of pigs.
They grope, they smoke, they joke but nothing they say amuses me.
I only like their money, their boats, the trinkets and the beautiful jewelry.
Oh I’m not a HO by any means, I’m a Diva and I’m the very best.
No touchey, no feelie, nothing like that, for I need my precious rest.
It takes a lot of energy to look like I do now and none of this is cheap.
And it’s all for those groping men, the reason to get my beauty sleep.
That has to be worth something, so I don’t feel bad when they provide.
I just add it to my humongous dowry, for someday I may be a bride.
