Don't you dare laugh, it was a time I desperately needed help. The insurance problem has got a lot worse since then and this may be an answer, at least it was for me. Thank God for Dr. Bob

Poem Artwork

My Doctor, My Vet

The insurance was too high, I could not afford a doctors care.
What do I do, if I get truly sick, I really wouldn’t dare?
But then I met Dr. Bob, a new neighbor, who was a great vet.
He was one of the greatest neighbors that anyone can get.

We made a great deal, just him and me, a quite simple exchange.
I’d do his and his son’s hair; easily enough to quickly arrange.
It was great, he was so close by and I could call him if I needed.
He’d promptly run over, because all of us needed to be treated.

Oh, what a deal I had, he was a good friend, Doctor and vet.
He began taking care of me at once and all of my four pets.
The exchange of money never took place, it was always free.
At all times his hair looked great and I was as healthy as could be.

But then one day he moved far away, now what was I to do?
I had no health care or a vet anymore, and I was getting the flu.
Boy, I never thought I’d miss a neighbor as I did my doctor & vet.
For he treated my dogs and me better than anyone I had ever met.

When he left that dreary day, my dogs and I were awful sad.
For he was the greatest vet and darn doctor that we ever had!

i hear that is subject to change after this election

cute interpretation of health care bonnie

and...at the emergency ward this last year i had an intern tell me he gives his family at home iv treatments for those 'bad' flus that would require the hospital and that in 3rd world countries you can buy such meds in the store as well as suture supplies in order to self treat - maybe not a bad idea

maybe we all need to learn a little more about personal healthcare

The least you could have done, besides haircuts, is given the man a doggy treat, or should he have given that to you being the patient, as it were...Rufuz says he will share his vet with you...;-) ed
