isn't it absolutely unthinkable what our politicians can and have done to waste the hard earned tax money we entrust them with? -- taxation without representation -- that's a familiar sounding refrain -- much peace and love to you Bonnie my dear friend -- JMW
No I can't beleive it but have to. I'd like to join you and have a cup of tea also. After I toss my cookies I mean and I don't mean the ones in my computer. I hope the prophylactic decision isn't a sign of things to come but am afraid it may just well be. Who else but our Bonnie May could write a poem like this. Nobody! Bravo my friend.
Hugs,
Marcia
Yes I can certainly understand the frustration and anger that some of these political decisions and bail outs are causing. With so much unemployment, so many homeless, so many hungry and so many seniors and veterans going hungry or without their meds this doesn't make a lot of sense does it.
Bonnie half if not more of the bill is pay back prommises Obama made to get into office. All presidents do it, only this time the stakes are extremely high due to the failing economy. It's too bad we the people, can't organize enough of us to not pay our taxes for a few days in protest of what they are doing. It's sickening! Good protest work Bonnie!...Eileen
It's the same in the UK, fools running the country, middle-class career boys with no vision and little power except to make things worse... all they really care about is getting a big house and the kid's private education. Ha, ha! No wonder I'm in China!
In thinking they make stupid, maniacal, and immoral decisions, you have lots of company. God help us, because they will not.

Good write, Bon! Run for the Senate--you go, girl!

Congress: grrrrrrrrr, don't get me started! All for one (the rich) and one for all, that's them all over. Forget about the common man, forget about the Veterans ... Karen's got it right: impeach the whole lot of 'em!
Ted says he does "smelleth a rat", I swear its not me, I just took a bath and really used soap...but there ARE alot of rats in our congress, I'm afraid...now as well as a great poet, you are a political columnist...Ed

Lady you are on a roll this morning!!! Does Congress really believe that there is going to be some sudden surge in demand for prophylactics tomorrow -- higher than yesterday? Or that the money will get lots more people hired to make prophylactics (who will subsequently be fired when the larger supply of prophylactics is not met by increased demand)? Or are they really increasing the estate of their friend -- the Prophylactics CEO?
We see the billion$ going out but we see no reports of any new constructive projects. Smelleth me a rat?
