He cries Not from sadness But from loss Loss of love, loss of innocence Loss of values once held so dear He cries for freedom Long sacrificed To the god of economics He cries for peace No longer possible And joy no longer found He cries But his tears bring no solace For he made his bed And now he lies in it�all alone
