this poem lacks flow and rhythm but hopefully it has the right message

Secrets
Whispered words
Meant to convey
That their content was of much importance
Though nothing but dirt
They are imparted with glee
Happy the pain is someone elses
Don’t tell me stories
I beg of you
That bring pain to some else
I honestly don’t care
What gossips have to say
Even if it comes from you
So keep your secrets
I don’t want to know
If it’s really a secret
Leave it that way

I understand what you're saying Sue, and it is true. Let the messenger of evil slip back into the woodwork where he/she belongs.
The only examintaion they should do is (self). I'm sure their lives are also full of 'gossip material.' Hugs ... Bill

So true. When gossips have no attention they leave. Any way, who likes a dog that will bring a bone, you know, the one who will carry a bone. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Epiphany by Gary Stephens

“We’re going to use nine megaton warheads in space and we’re not sure they’re large enough to be effective. Why would you even consider using kiloton-range surface-to-air warheads as back-up?” The answer was succinct. “Because they’re all we have.”
