I have an over abundance of words
And no place to put them
I try putting them here
And they don’t stay seem to fit
I try placing them there
And they spill over the page
I try stacking them neatly
And they merely topple
Into incomprehensible sentences
I want to use all my words
Mama taught me never to waste
But where do you put words
Like indisputable
When every thing in your life
Seems to be arguable
And how can you use the word
Astronomical
When your life seems to have shrunk
To such measurable spaces
I don’t want my words to go away
From word abuse
And I don’t want my pile to shrink
From mere lack of use
But I really don’t know what to do
With all of these damned words
