Pardon me, is that your heart out there
The one laying out there for anyone to step on
Isn’t that taking chances my dear
Leaving it out like that
It’s right there in the way
For anyone who comes along
To do it harm
Or worse, to steal it away
But yes it is my heart
And I know its taking a chance
Leaving it out in the open this way
But if I hide it away
And keep it safe
I may never find that one person
Who might come along and see my heart
Laying out there
Open to love or whatever
And he may treat it right
Nurturing it and wrapping gently in love
Yes it is my heart
And I know I am taking a chance
But we often have to take a chance
If we want to find something worthwhile
You have a wonderful gift for this, Sue - these mono/duologues and easy conversational style that packs a punch every time. They always get me hooked and speak volumes and depth with such clarity and verve. Hearts are both vulnerable and robust, but they are our power-house and what use is a life if the boiler's out and cold?! Hearts pump and they bleed - but they make us what we are, so we shouldn't seek to hide them away and keep them under lock and key. Enjoyed this, thank you. Kate xx

I couldn't be my heart, my first wife got that in the divorce.
How comes that it took me so long to discover and find you.
Compliments.
I totally agree about taking a chance to find something worthwhile in life,
Most interesting message contained here,
Tommy
"And I know I am taking a chance

The only way to succeed. Enjoyed.
