It was a damp day in April
A little café in Venice
We met over a latte and bagel
But the bagel was ignored
As we explored one another
Mentally that is
Talking about everything under the sun
The morning stretched into early afternoon
And in my mind
I was seeing us having great conversations
Maybe after greater sex
When she blew in with a cold wind
And barely nodding at me, she whisked you away
You left with a grin, half apology
And half chagrin at being caught I’m sure
And I decided to finish my bagel
No sense in letting it go to waste
Like that damp day in April

Dear Sue,

No sense indeed letting the bagel go to waste.
I am sure you got enough satisfaction doing so.

Sue, his sincerity was as bland as that bagel! Add some cream cheese and spice up your life!
This is awesome!
