Maybe you noticed
Maybe no one does
But I haven’t been reading much
These last few days
Not true exactly
I have been reading but not much to say
The problem is my mood
I have to tell you
I’m just not in the mood for pretty
You all are writing as great as ever
Your words flow with perfect rhythm
But I can’t get into the right attitude
To do you thoughtful justice
I read about sunsets and groan
About fall flowers and moan
It should still be Halloween
I’m in the mood for black thoughts
And evil design, I guess
Or maybe just sad thoughts
I’m not sure exactly what I’m in the mood for
But I’m afraid it just isn’t pretty
So excuse me while I mope and gnash
Gritting my poetic teeth
I’ll be back in full swing soon
But right now my moods not pretty

Nothing wrong with this. Aren't we all moody once in a while?
Yeah, you go girl!! I know this feeling, when gray is the flavor of the day, and you just wish someone would write something so dark and mind-horrible, you'll love it because you understand it... Um, well, that happens to me, anyway. Dark moods attract moody darkness, and you've expressed it well.

Good for you, Sue... just roll with it, Honey! Just life's ebb and flow which makes for truth and honesty about all of our experiences in the end. At least you can write compellingly about it and transcend it for the benefit of the rest of us, too! Makes me not feel so bad... who said that to be poetic was to be pretty? This seems pretty darn poetic to me!! LOL Kate xx
