God, how many times have we heard those words
And thought so little about them

Maybe a little love
Some peace for this world I guess
Food for starving children
Men brought home from places far away
A few less drive by shootings
A place for the homeless
With a meal once in a while
A cure for cancer
An end to children dying
All I want for Christmas
If only it were that easy
We could make this world so much better
If we could just have a wish or two
For Christmas and ever more
You sound like me, Sue... when can we quit all this crap we call "living" and roll up our sleeves to see things actually change for the better in the world?! Guess I'm not living in the "real" world if I could think that life could ever be that simple?! But then, this, sadly IS real life for more of us than we'd care to imagine... on point, and one to mull over while we are stuffing both ends of an enormous carcass on Christmas Eve... LOL Kate xx
HI Sue, I agree that all those things are wonderful to wish and hope for but maybe somedays we need to be glad of the things we do get. The flowers that bloom in the spring, the food that sprouts in our gardens and the new children that are always a reminder that there is still hope in the world.
