remembering is the easy part
after all these years
I can still recall the blue of his eyes
the incredible curl in his hair
the way his smile made my heart flutter
I can remember the sound of his voice
and the words he would say
I can remember laughter that lit up my world
and sex that made it a better place
I can remember happiness that filled my heart
and a sadness that I feared would kill me
I remember each and every day we were together
and the reason we are now apart
and yes after all these years
remembering is the easy part
it is the forgetting I just can't do

How well you get to the heart of the matter Sue!
Another fine poem!
