words are meant to express or relate
they often bemuse or complicate
they can be put together to entertain and amuse
but can just as easily confound and confuse
words may be sharp, they cut like a knife
they can cause pain, war and strife
the words themselves are not to blame
lets look to the source from which they came
its up to us we have to admit
we can write poetry
or we can write s***

Restraint of tongue and pen, hey? Much said here, and I agree. Well done.

You sure cut the chase and went right to the s***. Well written poem, easy to read, and understood by all.

Well, as usual, there's no bull here, Sue, and I like your style and 'tude. A surgical write which is designed to heal and cure, I am sure. Too true, we can speak with forked tongue much of the time - either intentionally or inadvertantly. But always we are the source and take the responsibility for the words appearing on the page. Very sage and upfront. Makes me think twice before committing something to paper which even I am unsure as to what I'm trying to get at; if I don't know, what chance has anyone else got?!! Mutual upbuilding is good; but much can conversely be undone by just one thoughtless and ill-conceived sloppy write. TY for this - it reminds me to remain vigilant and not to become lacksadaisiacal (??!!)... I've probably blown it already with this ramble!! LOL Kate xx

Excellent write Sue. Problem is people who write
the s...t ususally have such huge egoes they don't
know they write it!;-)

This is very true. Sometimes the sssst that is written can be hard to bear. But you have no problem with that.

Good write Sue! Words are like guns arent they? They are as good or bad as the person holding them, In this case the one holding the pen.
