He said it wasn’t a baby
It was just a seven day overdue period
His words sliced into her heart
And into the core of her dreams
She had believed him when he said he loved her
And talked of the family they would have
Someday
That’s the thing of it he said
Not noticing the tears in her eyes
Someday is not now
And I’m not ready right now
And he walked away
No thought of what they had created
The beauty of a child borne of their love
He tossed the thought away like an old tissue
And she felt the same way
Used and dirtied, then tossed away
Because it wasn’t the right time
Because it wasn’t
someday
Sue, my friend,

This seems to be scenario quite often these days Sue. Unfortunately most walk away, whether there really is a baby or not.
Truly a sad depiction of life.
