Sue, its a wonderful poem...one I think many can relate to. I know I can. Letting go is perhaps one of the most difficult things a person can do...especially someone you love. You've captured that heartache wonderfully here. It's fine as is.

i'm just not happy with this poem, i would delete it but i still feel like it has value. anyone have any ideas how to make it read better? if not i may make some changes on it tomorrow when i'm feeling better

Yea what people want to do after a breakup usually is be your friend or keep you around just in case scenario, both options suck and as you say in your poetry so well "just go away".

Situations such as these are a troubling time, that is for sure. You hit on the major point however, in this well-written and insightful poem. What happiness which may have been is nothing compared to the absolute despair caused by love gone. Good write.

Very good and very sad. There is no way to end love, if one doesn't want it to end. Sympathy being the druel "invader," when silence is all that is wanted...
