There are people who are drawn to the mysteries of night. I'm luckily not one of them, I require way too much sleep to wander around at night, but I'm interested anyway.
Night beckons
As it always has
I’m drawn to the dark
The mysterious
I long to search the dusk
For the travelers of the night
The people who shun the daylight
And walk only
In shadows
I want to ask
If allowed to speak
What is it you seek
In the dark of the night
That can’t be found
Under the sun’s rays
And whatever it is
May I share it
With you
May I too
Walk this path you trod
From dusk to near dawn
Looking for something
And I can only guess
What
I can only wonder
Why
As I slip from shadow to shadow
Following
Wanting to be a part
Of something
I’ll never understand
Perhaps you are drawn there because it represents the mysterious, the unknown, the untraveled path. Maybe you are ready to expand your horizons or go deeper within yourself to see what is hidden there? And never say never, Sue! Fine poem...

I always work late and sleep late. So I spend a lot of time at night and night is certianly a mystery. When you look up and watch those stars sparkling above and see some suddenly disappear and another appear some where else, oh, there is so much mystery and all you can do is wonder is all:) :)

I used to be a "people of the night," and I can tell you what most of those shadowy people are searching for. Themselves. Then there are the others. They, my dear Sue, are looking for YOU!
If I hadn't read your note first, I would have thought you were drawn to the mysteries of the night by this wonderful poem. And I must confess, the mysteries of the night and the numerous night creatures truly captivate me.
My mind like to wander in dreams at night. I dream every time I sleep, but it doesn't mean that I don't sleep in peace. Quite contrary to the theory, if I don't sleep good that night, I won't be able to dream that night. If I dreamt that means I'm going to sleep good.
Moreso, I disagree with Tinka's theory that if you dream you won't be able to sleep in peace. I sleep in peace most of the time.
Being unlucky to sleep in peace comes when you as a person seeking for that tiny light that leads you to the better and bigger light of HAPPINESS..to God and love!!
And without this darkness there can be no light....and without darkness we cannot appreciate the light when it appears....it carries no power....and does not become unique...like true love.
And Sue I can say this if you know all the above and have true love..You are one blessed lady!!
Hope you understand my point of on your question asked within your poem!!
The night for many holds the mystique of uniqueness. The world is quieter, less crowded, time is slower and the mind images are stronger once you are acclimated to the dark hours. As i am retining soon I look forward to the time when I can pick the hours I want to roam not what is enforced upon us by society and nature.
You express the intrigue of darness well. I often think
as I'm going to sleep, of the diffent animals that come out
only at night, and other mysterious things that may happen.
neat poem!
