They tell me that sanity is a subjective thing
Open to interpretation
But I have trouble
Trusting
‘them’
and
I
Worry that insanity is maybe more
The thing
I should be worried about
Afterall,
ItsnotlikeIfeelallthatnormalanymore
And its
Not that the voices are any quieter
Or that my dreams are any
Less scary
But they (there they are again)
Tell me that I worry too much
I guess
They think
That it is all in my mind
These things that I see and hear
And they may be right
That’s where the voices seem to come from
Afterall
And maybe they are normal
And everyone hears them
Maybe
Its not just me
And these things I feel I have to do
Are not so strange
I wonder as I
Pick up the shotgun (borrowed from the junkie down the street)
Now HE doesn’t think I’m crazy either
And walk into the McDonalds
Don't be shocked, I wrote this a while back when I was experimenting with various types of poetry and stumbled across it today and thought I would see what you think....bizarre??

wow ... this one was really well written... the top of the format almost forms arches... maybe you should make it form the "golden arches" and leave people wondering why until the end ... great writing :)
when i wrote this particular poem, we had been discussing the man who walked into a mcdonalds and went ballistic on all the customers and i was just trying to think of what he might have felt like prior to doing something so horrible.

I enjoyed it. I did wonder, though, what happened to the formatting. It looks like you started out with a plan then eventually abandoned it. The formatting just looks incomplete. I dunno.
