I've been reading about the serial killer they caught recently and remembered this old poem...go figure

The voices were there again
They started last night but they were just whispers
Nagging at him
Always harping at him about something
Just like his mother
Always on him about school and his friends
And that bitch he married
Never letting up, never satisfied
He didn’t make enough money
He wasn’t good in bed
She never quit
They were louder now, the voices
Louder and ruder
Filling his mind with pain
With pressure
The voices were always women and they always
Made him crazy
With their constant harping, their constant chatter
He just wanted quiet
That’s why he did those things
The reason the quieted those other women
Trying to stop the voices
Why couldn’t they see what they made him do
Why couldn’t they just be quiet
he grabbed a knife and put on a dark jacket
It was going to be the last time
He told himself and the voices
This time, when he quieted her she would stay quiet
This time he would make sure
She was quiet

Reminds me of a Herold robin's novel I read in which an English man would invite whores to his bed and then kill them just when the women are havign their ecstasy. Almost the same reason, almost.

Extremely troubling ,because of how perceptiive it is!
I'm sure many parents would cringe and deny, how
much they have damaged their children.
outstanding poem on the topic Sue!

I have to agree with Felix, sis. This is a very insightful view to the dark ravings of a madman. The mind is such a fragile thing, and it does have its breaking point. Great write sis. May the Lord be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy tot he world, peace on earth & ((((HUGS)))), Barbie
