A friend said her husband is always threatening to 'teach her a lesson' and leave her for a younger woman...this inspired the following poem...

The one who will see you for what you are
Younger, prettier and smarter I suppose

Sue this is a great write. However, I pray your friend
gets the result she hopes for. Sorry to say I see no
future with such a pompous egotist as her husband sounds.
Usually, if such people change it's for the worse not the
better. Yet, there is always hope!;-)
If leaving her is the only useful thing he can teach your friend, then I pity him as a man. If she feels that she won't even notice he's gone before he is back, then again, I pity him as a man.
While I don't condone leaving a marriage, this one sounds as though the love has already departed - If she is in a possition to do so, she should wait until he goes out, and change the locks... and tell him to go find the younger woman he's been threatening her with, and file for divorce.
If she wants to remain in the marriage she should get all dressed up and go to a singles bar for a quick self esteem pick me up - and then she can threaten him that she may leave him for a richer, smarter, thinner, sexier, etc... At least send her my love and tell her I'll pray for her!

I suspect and hope that she is the one that will teach him a lesson.
What a foolish man he is to make his wife feel as though she will do until something better comes along. It would be good if he did go and if she slammed the door behind him and changed the locks. It would be good for him to have to live in the shadow of being the old (worthless) one and having the sweet young thing that he thought would change his life and restore his youth, be the one to leave him for someone better. If someone loves you, and you walk away, then you are nothing less than a fool. Well written, Sue.

My wife told me a story about a man who so beat up his wife that she cannot comfortably use her back. The man also threatened that she was going to teach the woman a lesson that will make her become a forgotten person. You know what the woman did, she moved out of the house with her three children.
Honestly, I am against man inhumanity to woman, no matter the shape and how it is used. This act should stop. After all, we are created equal by God.
