There is a storm coming
As the thunder sounds ominously
In the distance
My thoughts gather like storm clouds
At the front of my awareness
Dark thoughts and vivid images
Come down like the rainfall
Threatening me with darkness
I cower in this corner I created
This dry and well lit corner
And shudder with anticipation
As I wait for the sunshine to come
And dark clouds to leave me
As they always have
As they always will

Yes, just as we accept the seasons that come. The dark clouds are there for good reason. When we are aware of that, then the sunshine comes. I can see those storm clouds moving in, Sue. Great imagery!

Wonderful Sue, the metaphor as Tinka said is great and so is the theme which you managed to capture so well.

Sue,

Great overview. Sometimes the storm overpowers us and we can't see the other side...

You did a great job on this one, Sue. Storms be they the type from nature or the ones that brew within us, tend to set our moods and deliver us into the blue-gray zone.
Take care,
Sherry
