Heartbreaking! No one gives a damn anymore...what if that had been my mother??? I'd be SERIOUSLY pissed. Not at her, at myself, for neglecting her when she never neglected me--a shattering wake up call. Thank you--how many lives have been saved now because of your words? I hope, millions. :) Your anger is justified.

So very sad. It is time we change the direction we are heading when it comes to the elderly. Time to give them the respect and love that they deserve. Don't get angry........become a companion to someone that is old that is alone. :-)

I'm saddened to read about this, but yes, it could have happened to anyone. One of our rich relative had died in this manner.

As I wrote in my own poem in regards to the neglect of seniors usually by their own children seems to be a social disease, Where is the respect that all these good christians talk about in the words of a wiser man then me: "Honor thy mother and thy father".
