It so easy to talk about the things I wish I had
The things I wish I’d kept
The times I wished I’d cherished
The people I wish I’d appreciated more
So much harder to say this is it
What I have and what I need to be grateful for
The day I wake
And the air I breathe
The job I do
And the food I put on the table
Such as it it is, it is mine
And for that I need to learn to say thanks
Remember the past if I must
But live in the today
And make it the best I can
Until tomorrow
And make that even better

This is a powerful and wise message that is hard to live by. Thank you, Sue. Love and peace to you. Regis

It is so difficult to "live in the moment;" I fight that same battle minute-by-minute. You've done well to remind us all.

I do miss your "voice" when I'm not around. Thanks for this one!

Oh, the woe of it all. Looking back and becoming that pillar of salt, the preservative, unable to move and sucking the life waters out of every thing in sight. Forward, I say, always forward. Loved it, Sue. ~~Nordette

Sue,

This is so true, and I agree with Kate....you tell it like it is!

Ha! Another like Ron who I am today on the same page as... must be something in the AD pheromones or water or something... wise words from a wise lady who never seems to prevaricate, who always tells it like it is and who shoots it from the hip. An attitude of gratitude goes a long way to making the stale bread sweeter and to change the miserable atmosphere in the dentist's waiting room when at least what IS in our mouth is still our own... Best not to miss out on life while worrying about what cannot be changed, either retrospectively or in advance. We could all do with living it large... TY and bless you, Kate xx

Exactly Sue, and the moment is all we
ever have. We can't live for yesterday
or tomorrow.

You have the only attitude there is to be happy. Nothing wrong with rehashing old loves and wounds, but it is better to give thanks for the now and "move on" as they say.

Something we all need to do, probably more often - and thanks for this message, Sue.

This is a write for all to ponder and live by! To remember yesterday is a fine thing, but to make today your quest and tomorrow bright, is where we should be.
And yes..to be thankful for what we have, reguardless of how little or great, is something I think we all forget.
Thank You Sue!

Behind the Gates: Behind the Gates: A 1990s Hollywood Romantic Suspens by Lisa Maliga

The higher you go into the hills, the deeper the secrets... A seemingly innocent piece of mail shatters the illusion of Beverly Hills luxury, forcing a terrifying statement from a powerful action movie mogul: "they can't kill us fast enough."
