I haven't done a dialogue poem in awhile and I'm afraid I'm losing the knack, assuming I ever had one...

You think you found yourself a keeper
Do you young sir
You look into those big blue eyes
And you see glimpses of forever
Aye
I’ve been there myself, young man
I saw those cherry red lips
And I imagine babies, carried on her hips
Nights spent in her arms
I saw forever
Reflected in her eyes
Yes siree bob
I had me a keeper for sure
Till I found out the gleam
In those pretty blue eyes
Were merely greed
Nothing more
Nothing less
She saw me for a sucker
Someone to buy her things
Lots of pretties she needed
Rouge and diamond rings
To keep those ruby red lips a smiling
I sold out my body and soul
But then I ran out of money
And she went right out that door
So look a little deeper, young one
Deeper than pretty blue eyes
And ruby lips that can cheat you
Tell you nothing but lies

Good message. Some will just take you for a ride. When you're out of money, you're out of love too.
