I used to revel in Poe’s words
And all I loved..I loved alone
So sure that I too was one of a kind
Different in my own sorrow
Loving the unlovable
My tears unique, my pain my own
How horrible it was to grow up
And find that all I loved
And all I felt
Had been felt before
By so many others
And all I loved
In my supposed solitude
Had been loved
By so many before me
And what really made me bleed
Was the shared pain
Of never being unique
Splendid, impassioned write! True, many things are universal, and yet, you are unique! You're unique because of the way you mentally and emotionally process your life experiences. Your emotions and reasoning season your interpretations of what you see and hear. Your inner spirit is divinely unique! There will never be another Sue, exactly like you! Wonderfully, expressive poem!

Your poetry is becoming more and more profound, you are a thinker. I like that trait because it is so unique in the present age of non-stop propaganda from the zillion media outlets of the world. Sometimes I feel we have too darn much news. You seem to cut through all the b.s. and THINK. Whadda concept!
Uniqueness is all in the mind. A special homespun device rigged up for a cookie cutter, filling a gallon jar with colored pasta, putting moth balls in a mason jar filled with vinegar and watching them rise up and down like a lava lamp, putting green ferns between a pillow case and a sheet of paper and lightly hammering along the outline of the ferns to leave a green-dyed imprint and when washed and ironed, turns to a lovely shade of brown and putting together a modern-day scrapbook with gummed picture corners (you can still find them) and tilting the pictures and captioning them. Uniqueness is in your mind. Sue you are unique ... you have the same initials as the S & H green stamps of yesteryear and remember licking those and sticking those into the stamp books and going off to the stamp store?
