Is it really that time of year again

Welcome me home
With open arms
For alas, I have been among
The heathens, the pagans
Wandering lost
Following a weakening light
Back to home and hearth
And as I finish
This thing called Christmas shopping
I thank God
And all other manner of beings
For that Mcdonalds across the way
The golden arches
Welcome me home
From whatever wilderness
Or mall
With a Big Mac
And a smile and…
I’m loving it

Delightful! You've put me in the holiday mood. Now, I wanna go shopping, I wanna go shopping ... but uh oh, I'd better save some money for the expected big heating bills or I'll be at the golden arches having Christmas dinner! LOL! I enjoyed the poem!

It truly is that time of year again - and that dreaded mall is truly a maddening wilderness to me - I much prefer Mother Nature's wilderness!

I HAVE TO FESS UP...THIS IS POETIC LICENSE,i wait till the last minute too and i'm not even a big mcdonalds fan...this was just the product of a mood, and mcdonalds seemed the farthest thing i could think of from an old beacon bringing someone home from the wilds. i love you guys by the way...

You've finished your Christmas shopping? I had to go look at the calendar, to make sure it wasn't Christmas Eve, and I'd missed it! Gees Sue! Now I know who to hire to put my life in order.
And to think I was just sitting here thinking I needed to go buy my Halloween candy.......early!
Hope you enjoyed that Big Mac!

Finished Christmas shopping? And I thought I could be early LOL. Yes the fast food resturants can be a blessing at the end of a busy day. Thanks for the sharing.

McDonalds is great inspiration to go Christmas shopping. Those golden arches are spiritual guidance to the hamburger angels with nice buns! Don't do what I did! I went through the drive-through and ordered a Whopper! "Ma'am ... we don't sell Whoppers, that's Burger King. Would you like a Big Mac instead?" I turned as red as the ketchup and sped off to Whopperland!
