That Fine Line

There is such a fine line
Between love and hate
Between wanting to smother you
In hot wet kisses
And wishing you the fires of hell
I don’t want to straddle that fence
Between welcoming arms
And that old cold shoulder
I don’t want to teeter from one side
Only to fall back to the other
But what I want
Doesn’t seem to matter
For here I am again
Walking that fine line
Between love and hate

super Sue, it is a fine line but you know the best, we know the best, many don't

Yes, sometimes 'tis a fine, FAINT line! At times it's darn near INVISIBLE and you don't know where the heck you are! LOL! Good write, Sue!

I agree with Robert. I did the same balancing act with Michael, who has found someone else. My heart broken again, because of who I am. From now on when a man makes a promise, even with a ring, I will be very cautious, and move very slow, so I don't have to fall on the side of the fence that says "HATE."

This is a very powerful and emotional write so poignantly written from the soul. Thnx for sharing sis.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, maybe too stubborn for my own good, joy to the world, peace on earth, & (((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your very sad and very terrified little sister, Barbie

I am glad I have not felt this way but you express powerfully the meaning and emotions of such a situation, Sue. Many will relate. Thank you for sharing this offering. Love and peace,

Regis

I can so relate to this, I walk that thin line between love and hate every day and I've never wanted it to be this way, but it's never seemed to matter to the one I love. Excellent Pierre.

Yup, I can relate to this one Sue, it's oddly comforting in a way. I hope you keep to the right side of the line.

You touched those in the den that have lived this, sad to say. I hope the future is much brighter for you.

This is a perfect example of Ouroboros, the duality of emotion, love and hate, light and dark, good and evil, give and take. Sue, I wish you all the best. You know the score on love's playground, the teeter-totter dips in your favor. Take care.

And what an extremely fine line it very often seems to be.

LOL

it is so true, I have to admit, there are days when I think I really hate my husband...but that's when I realize that I love him so much...if I didn't there is no way I would still be with him
