I just finished a book about a young child who was adopted for the sole purpose of future abuse...she said she was always told to be a good girl, while they used and abused her, she just wanted to be a good girl. It tore me up to read....

I was such a pretty child
So they all told me
While they destroyed my innocence
Such a good girl
They all told me
While they destroyed my existence
Do what you are told
They said to me
Always listen to me, I’m older
I’m wiser, smarter
You’re such a young child
He whispered
As he destroyed my youth
Such a good girl
Sweet girl
Young girl
Always do as you are told
Be good girl
Always
Never
Look
At the truth
Be a good girl
I was a good girl
While they destroyed my life

My mother sent me away when I was 12 years old, for "my best interest". Even when she found out that I was being abused at the institutions, she still would not allow me to come home to stay. My innocence, my security, my happiness, and my life, were shattered, while my heart broke in a million pieces because my mother lied to me when she said only bad people get taken away and locked up.

This is a heart shattering poem, to know that there are still people in the world that will willingly abuse a child. So sad.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

Heartbreaking. This is the depth of evil-unending torture, theft of innocence and the ultimate betrayal of trust. Was this her own story?
Packs a whallop, Sue...

Sad and horrific that in this so called civilized world so much of this still goes on.
