i know i use the word 'and' often in my poetry, trying to keep the tempo the way i want it...and i apologize, i just don't know how to write any other way.

Depression
Finds her with little warning
Wrapping her in its heavy blanket
Lulling her to hours of sleep
To avoid thinking
Fits of meaningless laughter
Leads her to tears
She no longer can control
She wants it to end
She wants so badly to be normal
To go to movies
Visit with friends
Melancholy
Is her constant companion
Dark and dreary
With thoughts of death
And
Oblivion to keep her company
She wiles away her hours
Waiting
She knows the meds will work
They always have
Surely
They always will
And so
Alone
And lonely
She waits

Sue, this is a fantastic and in my opinion an accurate description of knowing that hope lies around the corner. Thank God for modern medicine.
