Oh, I think 'waking time' is the best time, 'tho I'm not a real early riser, either. Our minds seem to be more carefree, and open to memories and the wealth of the day ahead.
I can understand this write so well, there are really so few times in the run of a day that we actually can or do take the time to just think without distraction of what was, what is and what may be. I'm glad you found the space.
Waking up too early is often the best and perhaps only time in the day to reflect. It is amazing that we even wake up to thoughts - just shows how active our minds are even as we lay our head on the pillow.
